Traditionally, Smart-e distribution matrices feature a set number of inputs and outputs, which can be increased and decreased by groups of four, however to save money Smart-e customers can now select their own number of inputs and outputs on an individual basis, relevant to the number of sources and displays connected to the system. For example, a solution that needed 5 inputs and 7 outputs would, previously require a matrix with 8 inputs and 8 outputs, however with this new offering, Smart-e customers can buy a matrix with exactly the required number of connections, providing a substantial saving on unnecesssary inputs/outputs.

As Smart-e managing director Jon Lane says “We call this ‘The configurator’, as now installers and specifiers can configure their own matrix to save money as they are not paying for inputs and outputs that won’t be used”.
