New wave of smartwave Smart-e’s popular AV distribution solution for marine environments smartwave, is now available in two new smaller sizes as standard. Specially designed to withstand the harsh environments experienced at sea, smartwave provides multi-screen live broadcast, entertainment, messaging and monitoring of CCTV security, and can also be used to enhance the viewing of navigational information, via a single CAT* cable. The two new matrices available as standard are: SMW-8x8 featuring 8 inputs x 8 outputs, and SMW-16x16 (16 inputs x 16 outputs), whilst sizes up to 96 inputs x 96 outputs are available to order. Its compact size means it is ideal for a variety of on-board applications where space is limited, whilst using a single CAT* cable frees up space and cable for other services. It has been installed on luxury yachts, commercial shipping, offshore platforms and submersible Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs). Allowing the simultaneous transmission of digital and analogue audio together with the high resolution component video over a single CAT* cable, smartwave features HDTV up to 1080p, transmits digital (S/P DIF) and analogue stereo audio over 200m of a single CAT* cable, and includes reverse infra-red control path allowing selection at screen. It accepts multiple input signals: RGBHV, YPrPb, RGBS, Y/C, and CVBS, and features in-line power for added reliability - essential when the next visit to port could be months away. The robust non-corrosive components of smartwave ensure it withstands prolonged exposure to salt laden and damp atmospheres, whilst also withstanding the shock and vibration from boat engines and sea motion. An ‘audio only’ option allows for extra ‘audio only’ inputs and outputs to be incorporated, saving further on space whilst adding extra functionality. |
