Unique all requirement receiver Surrey based Smart-e Limited has launched a versatile new fully-featured CAT*receiver unit designed to address a multitude of signals and cable types, allowing it to be used in different ways to cope with a host of system configurations. 
Named the SLX-RX221, it allows the simultaneous transmission of digital and analogue audio together with high resolution component video over a single CAT* cable. The compact unit is space-saving and is sufficiently robust to withstand use in marine environments, as well as in the home. As Jon Lane, Smart-e’s managing director says “Our customers asked us to design a receiver that could cover all audio requirements to give them a wide range of choices, whichever way an entertainment system is configured. We believe this is the only such receiver that enables them to achieve this within one unit.” The SLX-RX221 features HDTV up to 1080p, hifi stereo analogue audio, remote power, transmits digital (S/P DIF) and analogue stereo audio over 200m of a single CAT* cable, and includes reverse infra-red control path allowing selection at screen. It is compatible with Smart-e’s Smartwave, the company’s distribution matrix specifically designed for use at sea. The new unit is in such high demand that it has been shipped out within days of manufacture and before its official launch. |
